• A Musical afternoon with Kristen Jain

“It was a moving experience for me to work at the Aradhana Home, where children from Bal Sahyog came to spend time with the senior citizens. Bhanu and Rijul from Yuva Ekta make an awesome team who bring in a wonderful energy of enthusiasm, care, positivity and fun to all the people who have come together. It is very touching to see the gentle intimacy and harmony between the children and the senior citizens, as they reach out to each other. Starting with a bit of breathing exercises and sargam on a harmonium, they all started to experience the warmth and beauty that relaxed singing generates within. Initially shy with singing songs, by the end they were into a  full game of Antakshari. It was a lovely afternoon!”

This is what our Master Practitioner Kristen Jain has to share after she facilitated a Music Workshop with senior citizens from Aradhana Home and children form Bal Sahyog, a shelter home in New Delhi.

As part of ‘Homecoming’ Program, we have been facilitating Expressive Arts interventions that brings together Senior Citizens from old age homes and At-Risk Youth from Shelter Homes in Delhi. Having completed one year this month, the program has fostered deep friendships and connections between our participants.
